La isla de Bonaire fue el escenario de la segunda conferencia
sobre El Futuro Político del Caribe Holandesa el sábado, 2 de diciembre
de 2017.
Holanda dijo que el resultado de su consulta del 2004
fue que los residentes de Bonaire quieren una relación más estrecha con el
Reino, por lo que Holanda la anexó.
Bonaire hizo su propio plebiscito criollo donde resultó
que el 65% de los residentes rechazaron dicha anexión. Sin embargo, Holanda no
quiere retractar su anexión.
Bonaire está haciendo un llamado a las islas del
caribeño y a la Organización de Naciones Unidas a unirse para presionar a

The island
of Bonaire was the scene of the second conference about the Political Future of
the Dutch Caribbean on Saturday, December 2, 2017.
Holland said
that the result of its 2004 plebiscite was that the residents of Bonaire want
closer relationship with the Kingdom. Therefore, Holland decided to annex
Bonaire.
Bonaire
celebrated her own plebiscite which revealed that 65% of her residents are
against the annexation. Nevertheless, Holland, does not want to retract.
Bonaire is
calling on the Caribbean islands and the United Nations to unite to put
